Over 130 species of antlions (in 27+ genera) live in the Middle Eastern Region, which includes the Arabian peninsula, Iraq and Iran.

Centroclisis sp.
The largest genus of Acanthaclisini antlions with 39 species distributed throughout the Old World, except Australia.

Creoleon sp.
71 species found in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, India and Sri Lanka.

Geyria sp.
14 species found in northern Africa, the Middle East and Afghanistan.

Iranoleon sp.
Eight species found in northern Africa, the Middle East and Pakistan.

Lopezus sp.
Eight species found in northern Africa, the Middle East and the deserts of southern Asia.

Maracanda sp.
Seven species found in northern Africa and the Middle East.

Mesonemurus sp.
Nine species found in northern Africa, the Middle East, Mongolia and the steppes of southern Russia.

Myrmecaelurus sp.
77 species distributed across tropical Africa north to Europe and east across the deserts of southern Asia.

Myrmeleon sp.
The largest genus of antlions with 158 described species. Cosmopolitan in distribution, although poorly represented in southern South America.

Nedroleon sp.
Three species found only in the Middle East.

Neuroleon sp.
The second largest genus in Nemoleontini with 112 species, distributed from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East to India.

Solter sp.
26 species across northern Africa and the Middle East, east across the deserts of southern Asia.

Trichocerus sp.
Five species found in east Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
